CDUHR Staff Appointed as NIH Center for Scientific Review Members
Marya Gwadz, PhD has been appointed a member of the NIH Behavioral and Social Science Approaches to Preventing HIV/AIDS Study Section (BSPH).
Holly Hagan, PhD has been appointed a member of the NIH AIDS Clinical Studies and Epidemiology Study Section (ACE)
Drs. Gwadz and Hagan, senior staff members of CDUHR, join others from NDRI who have been selected to contribute to the NIH scientific review process.
Peer Review Members are selected on the basis of their demonstrated competence and achievement in their scientific discipline as evidenced by the quality of research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant activities, achievements and honors. NIH study sections review grant applications, make recommendations on these applications to the NIH national advisory councils or boards, and survey the status of research in their fields of science. Membership of a study section represents a major commitment of professional time and energy as well as a unique opportunity to contribute to the national biomedical research effort.
